From doing this Cloud Careers course I have learned so much in a short period of time and all for no fees like in college. I will be doing nothing but gaining from doing this course as it strengths my CV, gives me job opportunities and further my education and achieve different certificates. Overall I would recommend this for anyone that would want to progress in education or in their careers and all this for no cost except your time. I appreciate all that Skillnet has done for me as I have been opened to new connections in the workplace.

After a few months of looking for work with no success I finally found the Software Skillnet Cloud Careers Programme which offered me 12 weeks of training followed by 6 months placement in huge global companies like VMware. This initially attracted my attention as every job interview I went to I was lacking the expertise and experience needed. The Skillnet offered me everything I needed to get my foot in the door into the IT industry and thanks to it been funded I didn't have to worry about money as there is no way I could ever afford to attend this type of training on my own accord. The training provides all the manuals, theory and hands on experience any person would require to do their job in the company, another benefit is that we are actually learning and working on real virtualisation products so it’s all related to the jobs. It's definitely a great initiative to help people from all backgrounds to come off the dole and get back into work.

I found the course "careers in cloud computing" great. There was no cost to do this course, and the certification obtained was brilliant. Also part of the course is 3 months work placement which I found I benefited a great deal from. I found the people at Skillnet very helpful and would definitely recommend the course.

This was a fantastic opportunity. Before I joined a Skillnet program, my prospects were likely to be 1) Growing a beard, 2) Emigrating. Now I have great qualifications and I am gaining precious work experience at large internationally recognized company.
